The Gift

I wish I could bottle and give away the experience and radical life change that was gifted to me during my 3 month adventure at Miklat. When I arrived I was skeptical and doubtful, but more importantly I was desperate. It was through absolute brokenness that I began some of the most difficult work I’ve ever embarked upon. By the time I left to re-enter my world back home, something had changed — I had changed. The program promises to work if we promise to work the program. I did… and it did. My life has radically changed. I am free from my many addictions and so much more. I have found a new freedom and happiness, self-seeking has slipped away. My whole attitude and outlook on life has changed. I could go on…
To my fellow recovery addicts, the staff of Miklat and so many in the Powell River community, I am deeply grateful for the role you have played in the wholeness I have received and continue to live in.
